Research Projects
The Foundation for Community Association Research is a leader in promoting and conducting research on community, homeowner, and condominium associations. Whether you are a community manager, board member, homeowner, legislator, public official, professional researcher, or student, or you are interested in the latest trends and statistics on community associations, you will find something of value here.
Foundation research focuses on enhancing the communities in which we live and work. Our research and studies can help community association volunteer leaders and professional managers make more focused and effective decisions, whether it be for planning purposes or implementing new policies.
2007 National Survey of Community Association Residents
Conducted by Zogby International and funded by CAI's Presidents' Club, this survey reveals overwhelming satisfaction among community association residents. View the survey results.

Best Practices Reports
What makes a good community association? How do residents know which community association is superior? To answer these questions, homeowners need a tool—a set of best practices. View any of the Foundation's Best Practices Reports.
Communities of Tomorrow Summit
The Foundation and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Center for Liveable Communities conceived of the Communities of Tomorrow Summit to discuss how demographic lifestyle and design trends would affect not only the creation of future communities but also the evolution of existing communities as they transition into the communities of tomorrow. Read more about the Summit.
Upcoming Research Projects
The Foundation is working on brand new Best Practices Reports on community security—focusing on both physical security and information security. These reports should be complete and available in time for CAI's National Conference in April 2008.
